The Gulas/Gulish Family History Found!
I started the quest to find my husband Tony's family in 2009 and by year end had finished my search.

The Gulas Family of Durkova, Slovakia immigrated to America in the early 1900's, they had 1 son born here~
John Gulish, nee Gulas. Soon after Valent & Maria Gulas, with John returned to Durkova.
John came back & started his life here in America.
Contact between the family stopped in 1968 when both Maria and John (mother and son) died on the same day.
With just a postcard from 1945 & John's Passport & Immigration Records, I found the Gulas Family of Durkova, Slovakia.
The day in October 2011 was an Amazing Gift to my wonderful husband Tony & especially his mother Cathy.
The feeling of closeness was an instant connection.
It will be a day remembered for a Lifetime.

Dali sme s Tonym, manželka Deborah a ich história z doby okolo Prievidza. Dali sme do Stará Ľubovňa, kde žijeme.

Nechali nás krásne spomienky a sme spomenuli' em veľmi často.

HOW TO WE MET WITH LONG LOST FAMILY!
6th October 2011 -
it was beautiful day for most of us. We met with Tony, his wife Deborah and their relatives from Prievidza.
We met in Stara Lubovna where we live.
Although we saw Tony and Deborah first time, it seemed to be, that we know them long time.
They were such spontaneous and friendly, that we love them from the first time:).

We were talking about our family, looking on the photos and recognizing who is there and...smiling, smiling, smiling:)))

Deborah is very fun and we like it:) After our talking we went to Durkova , where Tony´s grandfather lived.

Firstly we came to my grandmother Anna Guľaš - she still lives in house where Tony´s grandfather John lived until his 18 years. When she met with Deborah and Tony, she was very exciting.
Their meeting as well as all other was full of emotions and gladness.
All the time she was saying that Deborah is pretty woman and Tony is handsome man:) she really like them:).

After few minutes came Peggy - she is John´s sister and she is 80 years old.
She invited us to her house where she prepared Slovak traditional food. In her house was waiting second Peggy - the wife of John´s brother.
I know it is complicated, but it´s true:))).

She was very happy to see them, too. Later in the afternoon Tony and Deborah
had to go back in Prievidza,
so we said goodbye to them and since we remember for this exciting and amazing day:)

They left us beautiful memories and we mentioned them very often. We hope to see them very soon!

They promised to come with Katy. We look forward to meeting and we send him very big hug!!!!!!!~~~
